D+ Perk Ups: Strapless Bras Supporting Curvy Girls from D to H Cup

There is a saying, that necessity is the mother of all invention. And if ever there was an invention that needed creating in the world of fashion, it is the creation of a strapless bra that will allow amply endowed women with cup sizes greater than a D to bare their shoulders, backs and a good deal of cleavage, without showing off their bras. Thankfully the creator of this illusive undergarment has arrived in the form of a company named Faveo and their product is the D+ Perk Ups .

Women gifted with large breasts are more than familiar with how difficult to impossible it is to find a strapless or convertible bra to wear beneath a sexy halter top or revealing and romantic dress with thin spaghetti straps. In fact if the fashion industry has been unkind to curvy women, then it is fair to say that lingerie companies have been downright hateful towards women whose cup sizes are DD or above. Strapless bras just weren't being made for women with larger breasts.

This was exactly the dilemma that Faveo UK CEO, Dr. Joanne Morgan, found herself in after having purchased a beautiful and backless dress only to find that an appropriate bra to wear beneath it was completely unavailable. It was from this necessity that   Dr. Morgan was prompted to enlist the help of lingerie designer Megan Powell-Vreeswijk in creating a bra that would give strapless support to those cup sizes that were too large for what was currently available to the curvy consumer. Faveo (which means I support in Latin) Limited was created in 2004 with the invention of the D+ Perk Ups (formerly known as the Faveo Freedom Bra).

So what are D+ Perk Ups? They aren't your usual strapless or convertible bra. In fact they look like no bra you've ever seen before. In essence the D+ Perk Ups are two individual cups, one for each breast that are available in cup sizes from D to H. The breast are placed into the cup, which is closed by a hook similar to the hook on the back of a traditional bra. When properly placed the patented Flexible Silicone Technology gives the wearer natural lift and support as well as the ability to go backless, wear short sleeves or plunging necklines. No wires, pads, tapes or straps needed.

As for comfort, the company claims that the D+ Perk Ups are renowned for their comfort and makes traditional bras seem like “torture devices” by comparison.

Considering the lack of strapless bras available on the market for for the chesty, curvy girl and the very positive reviews that I've heard and read, I'm definitely recommending giving the D+ Perk Up a try  for that perfect perky fit beneath your skin baring fashions this spring and summer.

Hollygoheavy, I spoke with the company and they recommend that you order their size 8. Since they are cups you don't have to worry about the band size so 44 shouldn't really be a problem. It's the cup size that matters most. It's probably worth trying it out and she says if ordered through underwearsolutions.com, they have a pretty good return policy.
Hope this helped!

Soooo, do you think they started out as a joke when some large breasted woman put trucker caps on her boobs for a laugh...
I would totally try those things, btw.
